1941 - 1945
Pennsylvania Range Boiler Company does its part to support the war effort and converts to manufacturing pressure vessels for the Maritime Commission.

These components were used on Liberty and Victory ships that became the critical lifeline to Europe. Pennsylvania Range Boiler Company received the Maritime "M" award for their efforts.

Reorganiztion - Pennsylvania Range Boiler Company reorganized and began to focus on its water heater line of products. The company also took on a new name - The Pennsylvania-Bradford Appliance Corporation.
Two Companies Merge
Pennsylvania-Bradford joined with White Products of Middleville, Michigan. What resulted was the emergence of a new company, Bradford White Corporation.
Power Vent Introduced -
Bradford White develops the first powered-vented water heater in the industry.

1999 Consumer Recognition
Bradford White's Optimizer® water heater wins an award as a consumer best buy.
Bradford White's manufacturing plant is expanded to include steel storage and finished goods facilities. Located in Middleville, Michigan the plant now occupies over 650,000 sq. ft. with the capacity to produce thousands of water heaters per day.
2000 - 2001
Bradford White moves it's corporate headquarters to Talamore, a historic landmark in Ambler, PA.
Manufacturing facility in Middleville, Michigan continues to increase 750,000 square feet.
2000 Consumer Safety Campaign
Bradford White launches a national media campaign promoting safe water heater installations by licensed plumbing and heating contractors.
Bradford White purchases Niles Steel Tank Co. of Niles, MI and Aero Environmental Ltd., Canada's largest manufacturer of oil-powered products for commercial and residential applications.
A new line of ultra efficient commercial gas water heaters is unveiled with an unprecedented efficiency rating of up to 99.1%.
Bradford White introduces its FVIR compliant Defender Safety System® technology and PowerStor Series® indirect water heaters.
Growing Product Line
Bradford White expands into new technologies by introducing the EverHot® line of tankless water heaters. These gas-powered, continuous flow models broaden an ever-growing list of offerings for the trade.
Bradford White purchases Laars Heating Systems of Rochester, NH adding an extensive line of residential and commercial space and water heating products to its already broad offering. The purchase is part of a strategic initiative to further expand the company's appeal to the plumbing and HVAC industry.
2006 - 2007
Bradford White ranks highest in satisfying subcontractors, according to the J.D. Power and Associates/McGraw-Hill Construction 2006 HVAC and Water Heater/Boiler Subcontractor Satisfaction Study.
Initiated the Interest Based Bargaining process with MIddleville UAW Local#1002 leading to an extended labor contract in 2007.

2009 - 2010
Bradford White introduces the ICON System™ gas control valve setting a new standard in gas water heater control technology. Soon after ICON System™ Accessory Packages are unveiled, providing homeowners protection and energy efficient performance.
Bradford White’s International Technical Excellence Center (iTEC) is a newly built 18,500 sq. ft. state-of-the-art LEED certified training facility.
The center includes a 64 seat, classroom style lecture hall with stadium seating, a “live-fire” training lab with 10 working stations for live demonstrations and hands-on learning experiences, a 4,000 sq. ft. mechanical room, on-sight business center, large conference room, and a full working cafeteria and dining area.
The iTEC facility hosts product and sales training events throughout the year for contractors, engineers, wholesale distributors and sales representatives from across the United States and Canada.
