The revolutionary ICON System™ allows the integration of accessories because of the unique
communication port built into the control itself. It all starts with the Accessory Module.
The Accessory Module is mounted to the water heater and connected to the communication port.
From this module, any or all of the Accessory Packages are controlled and powered.
The Accessory Packages are designed for protection and performance. The Protection Package will help mitigate damage
from a leak. It includes a leak detection sensor that triggers an alarm and a rubber dam that collects water to
enhance detection capabilities. There is also an Inlet Shut-Off Valve Package that connects to the Accessory Module
for added protection against water damage.
The Performance Package includes a programmable control similar to a thermostat for a heating and cooling system.
The control can save up to 36% on energy usage. There is also an integrated mixing device (IMD) included in the
Performance Package. This advanced thermostatic mixing valve allows higher stored water temperatures,
increasing usable hot water by as much as 50% or more, while still providing comfortable outlet temperatures.
