ECOSTOR™ SOLAR GAS BACKUP MODELS (OPEN LOOP)

The EcoStor Open Loop Solar Gas Backup Models utilize a gas burner as backup when solar energy does not meet the required domestic hot water demand. The main difference between the open and closed loop system (indirect) is that the open loop design does not have an internal heat exchanger. The open loop system uses heated water from the solar collector and mixes with the potable water in the tank. Open loop systems are ideal in environments where freezing is not a concern.
