Power Direct Vent (PDX Models)
Bradford White is pleased to introduce the Power Direct Water Heater Series.
These new water heaters are already generating a great deal of enthusiasm in the industry because of how they eliminate a number of installation obstacles without sacrificing performance, efficiency or venting flexibility. They are a closed combustion version of our TTW2 series water heaters, arguably the best power-vented water heaters in the industry. The new PDX models can be installed in areas where make-up air is a problem, such as a bedroom, bathroom or occupied room normally kept closed. All of the models are built in accordance with the National Fuel Gas Code 1999 Edition, Section 6.29, Water Heaters. The new models are also designed to reduce heat loss, as they do not use heated air from the living space to support combustion.
Power Direct Vent water heaters come equipped with a specifically designed blower assembly that accepts two separate and individual sections of PVC, ABS, or CPVC pipe. This allows for the introduction of combustion air and the exhaust of the products of combustion.
3" PVC, ABS and CPVC: the water heaters can be vented with 3" PVC, ABS or CPVC in lengths up to 35 feet with one 90-degree elbow (Air Intake and Exhaust).
4" PVC, ABS and CPVC: the water heaters can be vented with 4" PVC, ABS or CPVC in lengths up to 70 feet with one 90-degree elbow (Air Intake and Exhaust).
These models are now available. If you have additional questions, please contact your local Bradford White representative.
